Description: Are you a post-secondary student interested in becoming a CPA after you graduate? This session will cover the CPA program in detail and include an open Q&A with CPABC’s Senior Student Recruitment Officer.
This session will be tailored to post-secondary students interested in becoming a CPA, and is open to students from any university or college program.

Cost: $20 - CPA Members/students/candidates. Prospective CPA students/candidates are welcome to attend.

Description: This event includes a moderated panel discussion with senior finance professionals from CPA careers in two main sectors – public practice and industry.
You will be able to network with the panelists and learn about life after the designation and the transformation of the finance function. Light refreshments will be provided.

Description: Designated accounting professionals (active and in good standing) from an international accounting body that is listed as a ‘Member Organization’ of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) are eligible to apply for CPAWSB IFAC Member Assessment for advanced standing into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
CPABC and CPAWSB guest speakers will present an overview of the academic and work experience exemptions (bridging) granted under this pathway, explain the steps on how to apply, documents required, fees and duration of the CPA program. Participants will also learn about the examination materials available to them, academic and employment resources, and much more. Learn how to start and what to expect as an IFAC member in this live webinar. Includes audience Q&A.

Description: Are you curious about what CPAs actually do? If yes, join this short 45-minute conversation and listen to a real-life CPA and learn about what accountants do and where they work. You will then have an opportunity to ask your own questions about a career in accounting.

Description: Learn about the practical experience requirements (PER) for the CPA designation as a post-secondary student. All aspects of the PER will be covered in detail, including the PER competencies, gaining paid experience while in post-secondary, tracking experience, and career exploration to prepare for employment after graduation. The presentation will conclude with an open question and answer period with CPABC.
This session is for current or graduating students of Post-Secondary Institution, including the CPA Western School of Business, who are NOT yet enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program.
